Local heritage book Platkow

This family heraldry data bank contains 5,000 persons.

The data was gathered by Klaus Thurow.  The source was the microfilm copies of the duplicate church books found during his time under the free internet site of http://search.labs.familysearch.org/  which now is https://www.familysearch.org/.   The data bank is not complete but only includes the years 1812-1874.  Thus the collection is not without mistakes and there is no implied legal responsibility for such mistakes.

Until 1997, Platkow was an independent parish in Odenbruch.  On December 31, 1997, the formerly independent parish of Gusow was joined to the parish of Platkow and became the Gusow-Platkow parish.  Until 1945 Platkow belonged to the county of Lebus.  After 1945 it belonged to the county of Seelow and since 1993 is has belonged to the county of Märkisch-Oderland. All of the above named counties have always been a part of the state of Brandenburg.

Translated by Bradford William Harper
